Features
Mounting, Aligning and Focusing Lenses Fast and Easy
A-Line™ series of self-aligning mounts are designed to make mounting, aligning and focusing lens groups fast and easy. How? The front of each lens mount has a special 6 mm alignment hole, which can be used with LH-GR Series Guide Rods such that several A-Line lens holders can be mounted together in a self-aligned row. This overview video demonstrates the easy and fast aligning process using the A-Line lens mounts.
Space Saving Design
Several A-Line self aligning optic mounts can be grouped on the same guide rod to save space. Shown are the LH-1DB with UPA-CFC fiber adapter, the LH-RMS with microscope objective and the LH-1A with lens.
Increased Stiffness for Reduced Vibration
A-Line™ lens holders are constrained both by the post/post holder as well as by the A-Line guide rod creating a "strong-box" structure that is significantly stiffer and less susceptible to vibration than individually post-mounted lenses. Shown on the right is A-line lens mounts and rods used together with TSP Series Miniature Optical Mounting Post and MSPH Series Miniature Slotted-Base Optical Post Holders.
Mounts for a Wide Range of Lens Sizes and Thickness
These A-Line™ lens mounts use threaded ring to hold standard spherical lenses in sizes from Ø0.5 in. (12.7 mm) thru Ø3.0 in. (76.2 mm) up to 9 mm thick as well as thin Ø1 in. and Ø30 mm lenses. For thicker Ø0.5, Ø1.0 and Ø2.0 in. lenses, we offer LH-DB double-bored mounts that secure optic by the top setscrew.
Thin-Edge Design and Large Clear Aperture
All of these A-Line family lens mounts have a thin-edge design and a large clear aperture. They are threaded at the base for optical post mounting and feature a guide-rod alignment hole for fast alignment.
A-Line Lens Adaptors
A-Line Lens Adaptors LH-2R1.5, LH-2R1, LH-1R05 and LH-50R25 allow lens to be adapted to various lens holders. For example, The LH-2R1 allows Ø1.0 in. lens to be mounted into Ø2.0 in. lens mount LH-2A, LH-2N or LH-2DB. The adaptors are particularly useful for mounting different size lens on the same LH-GR guide rod. These Lens adaptor also have chamfered external edges to ensure the retaining rings on host mounts are automatically centered. These adaptors also can be used with most mirror mounts and lens tubes.
Use with Newport Lens Tubes
A-Line Series fixed lens mounts are compatible with Newport's LT Lens Tubes, no adaptors needed. Shown is LT10-20 used with LH-1T.
Versatile A-Line Mounts and Adaptors
Besides lens mounts, A-Line family of mounts also include all kinds of optic mounts, key rods and adaptors.
A-Line family of mounts can be used in many different ways to build your optical beam path easily and fast. For example, one can below opto-mechanical parts to build a vertical beam path shown on the left using A-Line components and adaptors:
A-Line components provide the most efficient and convenient way to put optical systems together. Watch this video to see how easily and quickly one can put together a simple Michelson interferometer!
