Dovetail Slide Bearings for Smooth Motion

The 460PD Series Peg-Joining Dovetail Linear Stages are uniquely adjustable at small scales, while providing secure travel over 0.5-in. (12.7 mm). As with both the DS and MT Dovetail series stages, these stages slide along precision preloaded dovetail slides, whose unique shape ensures accurate, repeatable motion.

Patented Peg-Joining System

Our innovative peg joining system makes connecting, disconnecting, and modifying the configuration of stages straightforward. Via the same mechanism as the 460P Peg-joining performance stages, secure assembly is accomplished by screwing specially constructed pegs into threaded holes and attaching an additional stage on the protruding pegs and securing with set screws. The pegs can also be positioned at various locations on the stage for stable offset assemblies and attachments are removes as easily as they are attached. The 460PD Series Dovetail Stages are completely compatible with our 460P Series Modular Ball Bearing Linear Stages. They are the same size and can be joined together with the identical peg joining system.

Direct Optical Table Mounting

Four counterbored holes in the base can be used for bolting the stage down directly to an optical table or breadboard.

Slotted Baseplate Mounting

These stages can be securely attached to a slotted base using two pegs. This allows for additional flexibility when mounting to an optical table or breadboard.

Precise 1 µm Step Control With Hex 80 TPI Screw

Each stage comes equipped with an 80 TPI hex-driven drive screw for precision positioning of 1 µm over the 0.5-in. (12.7 mm) of travel while maintaining a low footprint. The motion can then be locked in place using an additional hex-screw controlled locking mechanism that insures placement over long times.
