Product Series Overview
Modular Peg-Joining, Dovetail StagesThe M-460PD-XY Peg-Joining 2-Axis (XY) Dovetail Linear Stage is preferred for applications requiring heavy loads and high stability. It is much less susceptible to shock and vibration than bearing stages. The M-460PD-XY incorporates an 80 TPI drive screw for precision positioning, 12.7 mm of travel, an integral locking mechanism, and our patented peg joining system for flexible modularity.
Our innovative peg joining system makes connecting these stages together very simple. Secure assembly is accomplished by screwing the pegs into threaded holes, placing a stage on the protruding pegs, and tightening two setscrews on the side of the stage. Stage stacks can easily be disassembled and reassembled into many configurations. The pegs can also be positioned at various locations on the stage for stable offset assemblies. Each stage has four through holes for additional mounting flexibility and is supplied with two peg screws and four low-profile screws.
The 460PD Series Dovetail Stages are completely compatible with our 460P Series Modular Ball Bearing Linear Stages. They are the same size and can be joined together with the identical peg joining system.
