Features

Designed for Maximum Stability

Constructed from solid stainless steel, the SR Optical Support Rods are designed for maximum stability by integrating multiple features into a single part. Rather than having several separate adaptors, these support rods have a machined-in pedestal base for use with SR-F clamping forks and multiple machined-in mounting holes.

Magnetic, Machined-in Pedestal Base

This unique mounting system provides the most stable and rigid means of mounting components to an optical table. Machined-in pedestals eliminate the need for an extra attachment before mounting to an optical table or breadboard, with clamping forks. Magnets located in the bases of the rods/posts hold them in place temporarily to facilitate ease of mounting and system alignment.

Two Types of Mounting Holes on Top

The rods have a center ¼-20 (M6) threaded mounting hole, as well as two additional 8-32 (M4) mounting holes, which are in line with the center hole, and are offset by ½ in. (12.7 mm). Using these two additional mounting holes, mirror mounts can be directly attached to the rod without the need for a separate adaptor.

Accessories for Customizable Heights and Architectures

A host of accessories for the rods are available, such as SR-E threaded extension posts and SR-S spacers, SR-Q mounting cubes, SR-SC sliding clamps and SR-ADP mounting adaptors, to allow mounting optics at non-standard heights and versatile architectures.
 

Compatible with Aegis Qube™ Beam Routing System

SR series pedestals can be used for the steel Aegis Qube™ Beam Routing System via adapter Q-XE-RA-1, which is made to attach to Q-OC-1 cubic enclosure to provide modular and versatile means for routing, shielding, and enclosing laser or similar light beams above an optical table.
