Fiber Optic Detector, Ge, 780-1800 nm, 10 mW, DB15

The 818-IR-L-FC/DB is a flexible fiber optic detector based on the popular 818 series photodiode sensors, without an attenuator that comes with the standard 818 series. The photodiode is place at an angle of 8 degrees from the front face of the detector housing, to minimize backreflection from the sensor surface. It can easily be converted to a free space detector simply by removing the 884-FC fiber optic adapter installed on it. It has a power range of -75 to 1.1 dBm in case of handheld and USB power meters; this range is higher for benchtop meters (-75 to 10 dBm). It is compatible with all the current Newport optical power meter models that have a DB15 interface. Please note that models 818-IR-L and 818-IR-L/DB are no longer available for purchase. Purchase 818-IR-L-FC/DB and remove the connector and/or the fiber adapter.
