The 9062-XY Gothic-Arch XY Translation Stage uses stainless-steel construction and thumbscrew locks to offer the ultimate in stability and rigidity. Gothic-arch bearings offer the smooth motion of ball bearings but high stiffness and repeatability over the 12.7 mm travel range. The 40 x 40 mm platform features 8-32 and 1/4-20 mounting holes. The unique gothic profile provides four points of contact (rather than two) so that the load and momentum are more evenly distributed. Side-mounted micrometer clamps minimize the overall footprint. These stages are compatible with our goniometers and rotation stages.
Machined Bearing Ways
The unique bearing design of these Gothic Series translation stages offer the ultimate stability in temperature-fluctuating environment. Unlike the multicomponent design of standard stages, which can loose their preload properties over time, Gothic Series bearing ways are machined directly out of the stage platform.
More Bearing Contact Area for Higher Loads
The gothic arch contact profile for the stainless steel ball bearings offers increased contact area to reduce bearing stresses, making the stage able to carry higher loads and more resistant to bearing-way damage.
Side Mounted Actuators
All Gothic series stages have side-mounted actuator clamps, minimizing the final footprint while maintaining a low profile height. These stages can also be stacked for multi-axis translation and include a side-mounted locking mechanism for each axis. Shown is 9062-COM with micrometer.
Configurable for Left-handed
The actuator mounts on the Gothic Series stages can be easily reconfigured for left-handed operation. The micrometer block is relocated where the push block is and vise versa. The video shows a micrometer reconfiguration of the 9062-COM stage.
