The LP-2B Five Axis Lens Positioner provides five degrees of precision positioning for 2 inch (50.8 mm) optical components. Precise, 100 TPI adjustment screws with knobs including an integral hex hole allow smooth adjustment with increased sensitivity. Our zero-free play XY mechanism ensures accurate positioning and enhanced long-term stability, without relying on grease to take up the clearance between sliding elements, thereby reducing drift over both time and temperature. This Five-axis XYZ θXθY model provides smooth XYZ translation plus true gimbaling about two orthogonal, coplanar axes. Five independent degrees of freedom allow you to accurately position an optic in any plane along any axis. The threaded central aperture accommodates optic retaining rings and a variety of optics holders for simple lenses, objective lenses, or other optics. Each unit is supplied with two non-marring Delrin retaining rings as well as an optic holder. All LP Series Lens Positioners can be bolted down to a table using the slotted base plate included which attaches to either side of the mount. Both English and metric threaded holes in the bottom allow for post mounting, providing easy adjustment of their optical axis height and azimuthal orientation. It has a 3 inch optical axis height. These positioners offer enhanced robustness compared to the A series, while maintaining the same form, fit, and function.
