The BSD-2R, Adjustable Periscope Beam Steerer, is a highly stable mount for transferring the height and direction of an optical beam. There are several new features to enhance performance and functionality beyond that of standard periscopes. It has the Suprema^® stainless steel kinematic mounts for excellent stability and adjustability, a robust stainless steel rail-post which prevents inadvertent rotation during beam height adjustment, captive 45-degree mirror holders which will not fall out while being rotated, and a powerful magnetic pedestal base with 12 lb. of holding force for safe placement prior to clamp down. The separate components of the BSD-2R can also be purchased separately allowing customized periscope assemblies. Mirrors for the BSD-2R are sold separately.
