Optical Mount, Clear Edge, Corner, ULTIMA^®, 1.0 in., 2 Knob Adjustment

The U100-ACG‌-2K-NL ULTIMA^® Corner Optical Mount is special in the way that it can translate between a gimbal mount and a standard kinematic mount. Simply replacing the pivot bushing by an AJS adjustment screw (see related products) and adjusting the two adjacent actuators an equal amount, results in gimbal-like motion, which tilts an optic without translating its surface. Adjust one actuator at a time and the mount acts as a standard kinematic optical mount. Adjust all three actuators to translate the optic. The optic mounts from the rear so that the optical surface is at the plane of rotation, regardless of the optic thickness. Corner mounting allows an optic to be positioned in tight locations where using a standard mount simply wouldn’t fit. For example, this mount allows you to place the edge of two optics in very close proximity to each other. Like all ULTIMA mounts, thick front and rear plates and optimized stiff springs improve long-term stability and provide greater protection against vibrations. This mount for 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter optics is equipped with two high precision, 100 TPI locking adjustment screws with knob. The actuators can be quickly changed to accommodate a broad selection of adjustment screws, micrometers, and motorized actuators. A convenient clearance mounting hole on each of two sides is compatible with either 8-32 or M4 screws providing quicker, more precise and more secure mounting.
