Features

Integrated Orthogonal Translation for Minimal Profile

These stages are comprised of two orthogonal, translating supports to provide a low profile for dual-axis translation of the mounting surface. Either a solid or apertured mounting plate is available, and each axis supports either manual or motorized Newport actuators.

Large Working Area

A large working area and robust design of three parallel plates provides smooth translation of up to 100 lb. of load, despite the lightweight aluminum construction. Backlash is prevented by as spring loaded actuator assembly. Additionally, these stages can be mounted in any orientation and maintain specifications. The mounting platform features a full array of 1/4-20 or M6 tapped holes. The 2.25 in. (57.2 mm) diameter aperture of Model 406 closes to a minimum of 1.875 in. (47.6 mm) at the maximum diagonal displacement of the stage.

Easy Interchange Actuators

The stages are sold without actuators to allow the comprehensive selection of manual or motorized actuators to choose from. The video shows quick and easy actuator changes on any axis, at any time.

Ball-bearings Provide Smooth Travel

Pre-loaded, stainless steel ball-bearings provide smooth travel for the high load capacity of these stages over each axis over 0.5 in. with <200 µrad deviation.
