Our patent-pending Edge Grip™ mounting mechanism clamps only the lower part the optical filter leaving the edges of the filter unobstructed. This enables a filter mount with noticeably smaller dimensions for cramped optical set-ups.

Our patent-pending Edge Grip™ mounting mechanism uses a thumbscrew to secure the optical filter. No tools are required. The thumbscrew mechanism also allows for a wide variety of filter thicknesses to work with the mount.

Thumbscrew clamping filter mounts can hold either square or round filters, as well as assorted optical filter pieces you may have in your lab. Simply clamp your round or square filter into the mount and you are ready to go.

Edge Grip optical filter mounts are offered with 8-32 or M4 mounting threads. They can be mounted to optical pedestals and optical posts with ease. The M-PPL17 filter mount has an M6 mounting thread for post mounting.

In addition to our Edge Grip mounts, we offer the M-PPL17 filter holder for components with a thickness of up to 12 mm. A thumbscrew tightened clamp is equipped with a broad support roller covered with thick plastic to protect the optical filter.
