Mirror Mount, ULTIMA^®, Clear Edge, 2.0 in., 3 Locking Knobs

The U200-A3K ULTIMA^® Clear Quadrant Mirror Mount offers unsurpassed functionality. This optical mount for 2 inch (50.8 mm) diameter optics includes three 100 TPI locking actuators with knob providing ±5° of tip/tilt adjustment. Thick front and rear plates and optimized, stiff springs improve the long-term stability and provide greater protection against vibrations. Hard carbide pads enable smooth, repeatable motion. A large array of optical mounting accessories is available for these mounts making ULTIMA a basic building block for many optical systems. Translation of the optic is accomplished by turning all three actuators. Convenient clearance mounting holes on each of two sides are compatible with either 8-32 or M4 screws providing quicker, more precise, and more secure mounting. ULTIMA mounts can be mounted to posts for adjustable height or pedestal posts for a stable fixed height.

Locking Adjustment Screws

ULTIMA Clear Edge Performance Mirror Mounts feature a Flexure Lock built with an AJS bushing in select models. Flexure Locks exert a tangential force on the screw to prevent rotation and prevent unintended adjustment.

Extra Thick Frame

ULTIMA mounts have extra thick frames for optimal stiffness and exceptional stability. The additional stiffness lowers deflection during adjustment, allowing fast and easy alignment.

Replaceable Actuators

The ULTIMA's industry-standard clamp design allows many different types of actuators to be used to adjust the mirror position to meet the requirements for any application. Actuators can be replaced with ease by simply loosening two screws to allow the actuator to gently slide into and out of the mount. ULTIMA mounts are compatible not only with standard knob and hex-key adjustment screws, but also with micrometers and motorized actuators.

100- and 170-TPI Adjustment Screws

ULTIMA Clear Edge Performance Mirror Mounts are available in models with either 100-TPI or 170-TPI adjustment screws. The 100 TPI screws are lockable, which is preferred for applications that require long-term stability. The 170-TPI screws have higher sensitivity, enabling faster and easier alignment, which is ideal for applications that require many adjustments.
