Our UV Fused Silica Cylindrical Lenses are available in many shapes, uncoated or coated. Rectangular, plano-convex and plano-concave cylindrical lenses feature λ/2 and λ/4 surface accuracy in the Y- and X-axis, respectively, 40-20 scratch-dig surface quality, and they can be coated with a variety of multi-layer antireflection coatings. Circular, plano-convex cylindrical lenses feature 60-40 scratch-dig surface quality and can be coated with a multi-layer broadband UV antireflection coating. UV Fused Silica is synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide of extremely high purity providing maximum transmission from 195-2100 nm. This non-crystalline, colorless silica glass combines a very low thermal expansion coefficient with good optical qualities and excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet region. Also, it will not fluoresce under UV light and is resistant to radiation.
