Stainless Steel Slotted Bases
Slotted base plates enable easy and accurate XY horizontal positioning adjustment of post-mounted optical components. Compatible with 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) diameter optical post holders, these stainless steel plates offer increased stiffness and thermal stability over conventional materials. A unique 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) index grid pattern assists alignment, while thumb screw or bolt mounting through slots allow for one or two axis translation and rigid lock down. Also included are counterbored clearance holes for mounting post holders, rails, and a variety of other components.

Stainless Steel for Increased Stiffness & Thermal Stability
Stainless steel offer increased stiffness and higher thermal stability over aluminum bases. Since most optical tables are made from stainless steel, the coefficients of thermal expansion also match up.
