The LDM-4982M laser diode mount is designed for 8-pin miniature dual in-line (mini-DIL) laser diode packages. It includes case temperature control with a temperature range of -5°C to 50°C. Zero insertion force (ZIF) sockets and spring-loaded clamps facilitate ease of mounting. The LDM4982M features our standard 9-pin D-sub input connectors with configurable pin designations to accommodate virtually any pin configuration.
All standard mounts in the LDM-4980 series feature fully configurable laser and temperature control connections. This allows the flexibility to accommodate virtually any laser diode pin configuration. In addition, these mounts have the ILX Lightwave® standard 9-pin D-sub input connections to make setup and configuration consistent and easy.
The LDM-4982M come standard with the case temperature control option. The case temperature control allows for control of laser package temperature, resulting in simultaneous and independent temperature control of both laser die temperature and package temperature. It is ideal for applications requiring tight temperature stability, different case temperatures, or for testing laser diodes at a wider temperature range.
The LDM-4982M is designed to allow quick and easy insertion of mini-DIL laser modules via a 14-pin zero-insertion-force socket. Only 8 of the 14 pins will be used for Mini-DIL packaged diodes. Simple lever actuation provides reliable electrical connections to all laser pins. Once installed in the socket, the laser module is held against the mount with a spring-loaded clamp.
