Features

Fold a Mirror Out of the Beam Path

The flipper mount folds the mirror 90 degrees down and completely out of the beam path making it ideal for beam splitting applications.

Two Functions - One Mount

The Flipper not only provides the alignment features of a kinematic mirror mount, it also has the repeatable repositioning like a kinematic base. Adjustment screws let you steer your beam, while a sapphire pad under the screw gives you better than 200 µrad repeatability between flips.

Smaller Than a Typical Kinematic Mount

The Flipper mount is almost half the size of most standard kinematic mirror mounts making it ideal for applications with restricted space.

Alignment Pin Holes

These mounts (except for 9892(-M) models) feature alignment pin holes (shown in red) on the bottom (base) of the mount to enable keying of the position and orientation by means of dowel pins when directly mounting. (Note: Dowel pins not included with mount.) This is especially helpful in OEM applications.

Optional Adjustment Knobs

Flipper™ Optic Mounts offer knob or hex adjustment knob options to allow the user to choose their preferred type of adjustment. The 9891 drive knobs come with 1/16 in. (1.5 mm) hex holes for increased adjustment sensitivity. The 9891-K-L’s hex adjuster is designed with a locking mechanism for long term stability.
