CCD Detector, LineSpec™, 2048 Pixels, 200-1100 nm, Includes Software

The 78855 Oriel^® LineSpec is a 2048 pixel CCD detector operating from 200 to 1100 nm. By using the 77439 mounting flange, it can be connected to the popular Oriel MS125 spectrograph. A mounting flange is included standard on the axial port of all MS260i spectrographs, easily converting into a UV spectrometer, UV-VIS spectrometer, or VIS-IR spectrometer.

A key performance parameter for the CCD is the maximum S/N achievable by the detector. CCD sensors create high-quality, low-noise images. Compared to CMOS sensors, a CCD sensor is far less susceptible to noise, making them ideally suited to spectroscopy applications. In short, CCD detectors are optimum for low signal measurements.

The 78855 detector includes Oriel LineSpec software and a USB cable. LineSpec software is an intuitive instrument control and data acquisition software that runs under Windows XP, Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit). The software supports routine spectroscopic measurements and data acquisition, such as continuous, single and averaging scans; absorption, transmission and emission spectra measurements.
