Faraday Optical Isolator, Compact, 4 mm, 785 nm, PM Isolator

The ISO-FRDY-04-785-N Compact Optical Isolator is essentially a uni-directional light valve. It is primarily used for elimination of frequency instability in single frequency lasers such as laser diodes and OPSLs, the prevention of mode-hopping in external cavity diode lasers, and the elimination of parasitic oscillations due to ASE in amplified laser systems. The compact design makes it highly suitable for OEM integration. It has a 4 mm clear aperture and a 775 nm to 795 nm wavelength range. The ISO-FRDY-04-785-N contains optically-contacted polarizing beam splitter cubes resulting in high transmission as compared to other available isolators.
Applications
Common applications for compact isolators include:
- Eliminating frequency instability in single-frequency lasers, such as diodes and OPSLs
- Preventing mode-hopping in external cavity diode lasers
- Eliminating parasitic oscillations due to ASE in amplified laser systems
