The (M-)MK-2 set is designed to provide all the necessary parts for building standard optical set-ups on a breadboard or table. This includes both 1 in. (25.4 mm) and 2 in. (50.8 mm) mirrors, as well as mounts, optical posts and holders, translation stages and more. With the addition of a standard laser such as a HeNe (R-31000 series), this set is suitable for building full optical systems such as interferometers or microscopes. All the included components come in a set of two specially insulated, hardwood boxes for storage and reuse.
Compatible With Quality Newport Products
All included components are compatible with additional Newport parts, allowing you to expand and adapt the kit as needed. Alone, the kit serves as a rich resource for standard parts needed in any optics lab, as well as a powerful teaching tool for optical engineering concepts.
