The F-SY Single-Mode Fiber from is all-glass and supports single-mode light propagation for a 980 - 1550 nm operating wavelength. This low attenuation, step-index fiber has a uniform core refractive index and a matched-clad profile. It has a 0.13 to 0.15 NA, a 5.3 to 6.4 μm Mode Field Diameter at 980 nm, a 125 μm Cladding Diameter and a 245 μm Coating Diameter. The core/cladding concentricity is better than 0.5 μm. Polular applications include hydrophones and geophones, biomedical illumination, sensors, instrumentation, device pigtailing, and light delivery.

This bare fiber does not include a protective fiber jacket. Standard pricing is per meter. The following volume discount schedule is applied when ordering continuous lengths of optical fiber: 10 - 49 m: 15%, 50 - 99 m: 22%, 100 - 499 m: 25%, and ≥ 500 m: 28%.
