Liquid Light GuidesThe 76846 Bifurcated Liquid Light Guide is for dual source applications. The single end does not meet into a common circular core, as the two cores are stacked in the common end. Each leg has an active core of 0.12 inch (3 mm) and a length of 39.4 inch (1 m). This version has a 300 to 650 nm range.
High ultraviolet to near-infrared throughput
Liquid light guides provide much greater transmittance than Fused Silica Fiber Bundles, do not have the risk of fiber breakage, and are less expensive. Data shown for 2 meter long light guides.
Bifurcated and Trifurcated Versions
For dual source applications, bifurcated liquid light guides are available. The two cores are stacked atop each other in the common end, allowing for complete focus of each individual light source onto its own irradiance area.
