Fiber Optic Depolarizer, 1550 nm, 10 m Coherence Length, FC/APC

The F-DEP-2-FA Fiber Optic Depolarizer is capable of depolarizing lasers with coherence lengths of up to 10 meters in a surprisingly small 85 x 60 x 10 mm package. This device dramatically reduces the effects of polarization dependent loss (PDL) in polarization sensitive optical components and instruments, and can be used for depolarizing pump lasers to eliminate the polarization sensitivity of Raman Amplifiers. The rugged package design provides high performance and superb environmental stability. The 1550 nm center wavelength polarizer comes with 1 m FC/APC fiber pigtails in a 900 μm loose tube. Designed for cow input light. This device is not bi-directional.
