Motorized Linear Actuator Selection Guide

Motorized Linear Actuators provide customers the ability to upgrade and motorize Newport optical mounts or manual positioners for remote and computer control. As stand-alone units, these motorized actuators are used in alignment, read head production, optical inserters, in adaptive optics, etc. From the least expensive TRA to the high-precision VP-25AA actuator equipped with a linear encoder, Newport's motorized actuator product offering is quite comprehensive and are usually compatible with other Newport manual products.

Newport also supplies compatible Motion Controllers, from single axis to multi-axis units. Most of Newport's Motorized Linear Actuators are ESP compatible, an exclusive plug and play technology that minimizes setup time and reduces safety risk.

For most Motorized Actuators, vacuum versions in V6 or UHV are available as standard model numbers.
