Standard Fused Silica Dielectric Mirrors

The 10Q620BB.HR2 BroadBeam High Reflector Laser Mirror is 25.4 mm in diameter, 6.1 mm thick, and is coated for 350-1100 nm, optimized for 0-50° angle of incidence. BroadBeam High Reflectors have an average reflectivity of 97.5% or better. They are manufactured using UV grade fused silica substrates and metal-dielectric hybrid coating. The BB.HR2 coating covers wavelengths from the UV to the visible to the IR. This product is also available in 10-piece saving pack .

UV Fused Silica Substrates

Fused Silica is synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide of extremely high purity. This non-crystalline, colorless silica glass combines a low content of inclusions with high refractive index homogeneity, a very low thermal expansion coefficient, and excellent transmittance in the wavelength regime from UV to NIR. As a result, these mirrors will perform better with temperature fluctuations and is ideal for high-energy laser applications due to its high energy damage threshold. Broadbeam mirrors feature unprecedented specifications at an incredible value. These mirrors feature Newport’s proprietary metal-dielectric hybrid coating which provides exceptional reflectivity performance R_avg>97.5% over a very large wavelength range 350 - 1100 nm, 0 - 50 ͦ angle of incidence for both S and P polarizations. Because of the very broad wavelength range and high reflectivity efficiency, the mirror can be used with many different laser wavelengths and can easily replace all of the mirrors in your current system.

More Durable Metal Dielectric Coatings

In addition to the high reflectivity across the ultra-broadband wavelength range, the Broadbeam mirrors also feature a more durable coating compared to the traditional metallic mirrors. Typically metallic coatings suffer from more rapid degradation over time when compared to dielectrics. Broadband mirrors use a metal dielectric hybrid coating that is more resistant to humidity, thermal changes, abrasion and salt exposure, providing long-term value for your applications.
