460P Series High-Performance Modular Ball Bearing Linear Stages are made of aluminum with stainless steel, two-point contact ball bearings and guiding rods. Actuators drive against a polished carbide insert, preloaded with a spring to prevent backlash. Stainless steel actuator mounts are compatible with either manual or motorized actuators to accommodate your precision needs and can also be reversed to accommodate vertical mounting.

The 460P Series are offered in both 0.5 in. and 1.0 in. travel range. Both XY and XYZ stages can be easily configured for mirror-image right- and left-handed versions. A number of features make stages in this series versatile and easy to configure and reconfigure to suit sensitive optical measurements with minimal real estate.

With most translation stages, the top part of the stage needs to be moved to the side for mounting or unmounting. The bottom of the 460P stages features two center holes for pegs and four outer holes for screws. With the peg, a stage can be mounted or unmounted from the side of the stage with out touching the top part of the stage. Additionally, the tight toleranced fit of the peg into the stages means they can be removed and replaced with excellent repeatability. 

In addition to the peg mounting feature, these stages have four counterbored holes in the base for traditional mounting. Each stage is supplied with two peg screws and four low-profile screws. The 460P Series Stages are also compatible for adjoining with our 460PD Series Peg-Joining Dovetail Stages.

The 460P stages can be directly bolted down to an optical table or breadboard using either the peg holes or counterbored holes in the base. We also offer 460P-BA slotted base plates allowing you to easily adjust the stage position within a 0.524 in. (13.3 mm) range. 

We offer 460P-90BK angle brackets for customers to build their own Z, XZ or XYZ configurations. Please note the actuator mount of an X stage needs to be relocated to the other end of the stage when mounted vertically.  

460P-RA Series Peg Rotation Adapters can be used above or below a stage to manually rotate the stage around a peg and then lock the position.
