Features

Black Anodized Aluminum Mounting Ring

The 0.5 mm thick polarizer is mounted in a black anodized aluminum housing for protection and ease of handling. The standard 12.7 and 25.4 mm outer diameters are convenient for mounting into Newport’s rotary mounts. Each black anodized aluminum housing is marked on the front with reference marks, indicating the direction of the transmission axis.

630-700 nm Wavelength Range

Our xxP009AR.14 polarizers are recommended for 630-700 nm wavelength applications. These polarizers are coated with AR.14 antireflection coating to increase the principle transmission to 79% in the designed wavelength range.

740-860 nm Wavelength Range

Our xxP109AR.16 polarizers are recommended for 740-860 nm wavelength applications. These polarizers are coated with AR.16 antireflection coating to increase the principle transmission to 89% in the designed wavelength range.

960-1160 nm Wavelength Range

Our xxP309AR.16 polarizers are recommended for 960-1160 nm wavelength applications. These polarizers are coated with AR.16 antireflection coating to increase the principle transmission to 90% in the designed wavelength range.

1500-1580 nm Wavelength Range

Our 05P509AR.18 polarizer is recommended for 1500-1580 nm wavelength applications. This polarizer is coated with AR.18 antireflection coating to increase the principle transmission to 94% in the designed wavelength range.

The Polarcor Advantage

Polarcor is a dichroic glass polarizer with an extinction ratio greater than 10,000:1 over a fairly broad wavelength range--greater than sheet polarizers or beamsplitter cubes. Performance characteristics such as extinction ratio, transmittance, and angular acceptance are comparable to Calcite polarizers at a much lower overall cost for great value. Compared to other simple sheet polarizers, transmission is relatively high, ranging from greater than 79% for the visible products to greater than 94% for the near infrared products.
