Parallel Optical Window, UV Fused Silica, 10.0 mm, λ/10, 250-700 nm

The FSW11AR.15 is a 200 to 700 nm antireflection coated, 10.0 mm in diameter and 1.3 mm thick UV Fused Silica window with λ/10 transmitted wavefront distortion. UV fused silica is the best choice to use in the ultraviolet region down to 195 nm due to its extraordinary high optical transmissivity for ultraviolet light. Fused silica is ideally used in high-energy laser applications with its high laser damage resistance. Its low thermal expansion coefficient allows the window to withstand very high operating temperatures, making this window an excellent choice for more demanding applications.

Ideal for UV, Laserline & Broadband Applications

UV Grade Fused Silica is synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide of extremely high purity providing maximum transmission from 195 to 2100 nm. This non-crystalline, colorless silica glass combines a very low thermal expansion coefficient with good optical qualities, and excellent transmittance in the ultraviolet region. Transmission and homogeneity exceed those of crystalline quartz without the problems of orientation and temperature instability inherent in the crystalline form. It will not fluoresce under UV light and is resistant to radiation. For high-energy applications, the extreme purity of fused silica eliminates microscopic defect sites that could lead to laser damage.
