Amplified Photodetector, Biased, AC coupled, 500-900nm, GaAs, 10 GHz, FC/UPC

The 818-BB-45AF Amplified High Speed Photodetector consists of a 1 meter long FC/UPC connectorized single mode fiber coupled to a 500 to 890 nm GaAs high speed detector with a <35 ps rise time. It has a built-in amplifier with approximately 26 dB of gain. It is excellent for viewing rapid modulation of low-power CW lasers or other light sources in the μW regime. The detector is AC coupled and features a bandwidth of 20 kHz to 10 GHz. A wall plug-in style power supply is provided with this unit. 818-BB Series Biased Photodiode Detectors are cost effective diagnostic tools suitable for a variety of high speed applications such as viewing of Q-switched, mode-locked, or rapidly modulated laser signals and picosecond laser alignment. NOTE-These detectors are very susceptible to damage by electrostatic discharge (ESD). Please use ESD protective measures, like the FK-STRAP, when unpacking and handling these devices.
