1.5 in. Optical Breadboard Support Posts

XP Series 1.56 in. (39.7 mm) diameter support posts allow heavy optical breadboard systems to be safely supported above a flat surface. The XP Series posts can attach directly to Microlock Tiedowns, unique to Newport breadboards, and are available in four different heights. To achieve intermediate heights, P Series Platform Pillars can be attached between the breadboard and support post.

Support Heavy Optical Breadboard Assemblies

Breadboard support posts allow heavy optical breadboard systems to be safely supported above a flat surface or optical table. The robust stainless steel supports are specifically designed to support heavy breadboard assemblies. Optical breadboards provide a portable platform with a mounting hole grid for building stand-alone optical assemblies or for extending the mounting area available on an optical table. Newport optical breadboards range from economic Solid Aluminum Breadboard Plates all the way to the top-of-the-line Precision Grade Optical Breadboards.

Compatible with Microlock Tiedowns

Microlock Tiedowns, optional on breadboards, are a unique Newport innovation that provide versatile and positive attachment of the breadboard directly to a table, XP Series Support Posts, or any other object with 1/4 -20 (M6) threaded holes. The Microlocks provide a vertical adjustment range of at least 1 in. (25 mm), positive locking of the height, and solid attachment to the primary structure of the board for optimum stability. Repositioning the Microlocks and/or adding more to a breadboard can be handled at the time of the breadboard order.
