Measurement and Certification Service, Customer Prototype Cell

We are proud to house and manage one of the few commercial photovoltaic and calibration test laboratories in the world, accredited by the A2LA to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, made in accordance with the ASTM E948 and E1021. The Photovoltaic Calibration and Test Laboratory (PV Lab) uses state of the art equipment, including the Oriel Class AAA 8” x 8” Sol3A solar simulator and Oriel quantum efficiency systems, for characterization of IV, IQE, EQE, and active area, traceable to NIST and NREL.

All measurements are performed under standard reporting conditions (SRC) with a temperature of 25°C, a total irradiance of 1 SUN (1000 W/m2), and spectral irradiance AM 1.5G (IEC 60904-3).

The PVCERT service provides the following performed measurements on customer supplied prototype PV material (PV cell testing, solar cell testing & characterization), with an ISO / IEC 17025 accredited calibration certificate provided:

• Total area of the device
• EQE and IV curves of the device
• Electrical performance parameters, including Short Circuit Current (I_SC), Open Circuit Voltage (V_OC), Current at Max Power (I_max), Voltage at Max Power (V_max), Max Power (P_max), Spectral Correction (M), Fill Factor (FF), Efficiency (n)
• Reference data on the instruments used
