Positive Meniscus Lens, Fused Silica, 50.8 mm, 1000 mm EFL, Uncoated

The MSCP010 fused silica meniscus lens is used for beam manipulation of Nd:YAG lasers. This 2.0 in. (50.8 mm diameter lens has a 1000 mm focal length, and is uncoated. By orienting the convex surface of the lens towards the laser beam, the light reflecting back into the laser is divergent, minimizing feedback. Designed to the fundamental and harmonic wavelengths of Spectra-Physics Vanguard^TM and Qunata-Ray^® Lasers, this lens meets the demanding requirements of a range of high power applications. Newport's fused silica meniscus lenses are polished to tight tolerances using master test plates to ensure minimum wavefront distortion. The extreme purity of fused silica eliminates microscopic defect sites that could lead to laser damage for high-energy applications.
