Photosensitive Singlemode Fiber, 1550-1650 nm, Bend Insensitive, Extreme Reduced Clad.

The F-SM1500-4.2/50 Single-Mode Fiber is an all-glass highly bend insensitive and photosensitive fiber for miniature coiled and embedded sensor arrays with extremely reduced cladding and supports single-mode light propagation for a 1550 - 1650 nm operating wavelength range. This low attenuation, step-index fiber has a uniform core refractive index and a matched-clad profile. It has a 0.29 to 0.31 NA, a 4.2 μm Mode Field Diameter, a 50 μm Cladding Diameter and a 110 μm Coating Diameter. Typical applications include sensors, instrumentation, device pigtailing, and light delivery.
This bare fiber does not include a protective fiber jacket. Standard pricing is per meter. The following volume discount schedule is applied when ordering continuous lengths of optical fiber: 10 - 49 m: 15%, 50 - 99 m: 22%, 100 - 499 m: 25%, and ≥ 500 m: 28%.
