The BM17.25V6 Vacuum-Compatible Micrometer provides micron-scale resolution and exceptionally smooth motion for high‑precision positioning in demanding vacuum applications. It is designed using a vacuum‑compatible lubricant, which significantly reduces outgassing and ensures reliable performance in vacuum environments up to V6. The micrometer offers a 25 mm travel range and an axial load capacity of 102 N, making it an excellent choice for use with vacuum stages and systems. BM17.25V6 micrometers mount via an M12x0.5 threaded bezel and are secured with a threaded collar, and are the standard actuator choice for UMR and MVN Series Stages and SL Series Gimbal Mirror Mounts, including vacuum‑based configurations.

The threaded collar found on all BM Series micrometers not only allows easy front-side installation, it also allows the user to fine tune the distance between the micrometer's tip and the contact point.

Designed for Vacuum Applications

Our low outgassing Micrometer Heads are designed for demanding vacuum environments. Several key steps are taken in the design, assembly and packaging of these parts. Following machining, each component is chemically cleaned in an ultrasonic bath to remove contaminating substances. These micrometers are cleanroom assembled using vacuum compatible lubricants.
