The self aligning movement of the of Opti-Claw's V-clamp keeps lenses on a common optical axis regardless of diameter.
The 3-point optic mount on the Opti-Claw allows it to hold square or cylindrical optics in addition to round lenses.
Once in place, a setscrew locks the jaws solidly as a fixed-diameter mount by pushing them against the mounting plate.
