New Focus Balanced Photoreceivers

A balanced detector consists of two well-matched photodetectors so that a small signal not subtracted is amplified. Balanced photoreceivers are especially useful in applications such as absorption spectroscopy, or heterodyne detection— anywhere you have a weak signal and need to cancel out residual intensity noise.
