  <p class="style6">Flourescence light is widely used to find evidence such as latent finger prints and biomaterial. Lasers are superior in comparison to UV light sources due to their high intensity. Spectra-Physics lasers are installed in many crime labs around the world and help forensic scientists in revealing evidence and thus solving cases. </p>
  <p class="style6">Especially the solid state Millennia Pro with Forensic adaptor is widely used due to its compact size, excellent performance and long lifetime. However, the use of these lasers in the field was limited due to their weight and power requirements. </p>
  <p class="style6">Based on a new technology, Spectra-Physics in cooperation with Jenoptik Laser Optik Systeme has developed an innovative laser device. The new Forensic Thin-Disk laser  is portable and therefore can be used at crime scenes as well as in laboratories. Tests show that the forensic laser can reveal latent fingerprints, faded ink on documents as well as biochemical agents.</p>
  <p class="style6">The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) tested the new forensic laser extensively in the field and in the laboratory. Please <a href="Portable_Laser.htm" target="_blank">click here</a> to get a summary of their findings and results.</p>
