General Description Models

Newport’s Ultra-broadband mirrors are IBS coated with special design with layers of dielectric materials to use for high reflection and high damage threshold in a wide wavelength regime. BB.1 coated mirrors covers the UV to visible wavelength regime (350-700nm) while the BB.2 coated mirror covers the visible to near IR wavelength regime (650-1130nm). UV grade fused silica is used as a substrate material for these mirrors for low thermal expansion and low material absorption in the wavelength regime of 350-1200nm.These mirrors will perform with relatively high energy pulses and will have better resistance from environmental effects compared to many other metallic and dielectric mirrors used in these wavelength regimes. For low damage threshold and relatively smaller broadness requirement please use the economical version Dielectric mirrors see Broadband Dielectric Mirrors . For Ultrafast laser pulse use our superbroadband Low GVD mirrors see Ultrafast Laser Super-Broadband Turning Mirrors.
