The ezTrac Optical Rail System, originally designed to complement our standard and pint-sized Triple-Divide translation stages, are quite useful as a low-profile optical rail system. The low-profile feature is enabled by the surface-mount design which allows the carriers to clamp directly to the same surface where the rail is attached. With this design, the carrier's mounting surface is only 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) high; several times lower than that of most optical rail systems. The ezTrac Optical Rail System is complete with rails of various lengths, carriers in different thicknesses and orientations, and base/spacer plates.
ezTrac Optical Rails
These optical rails are the key to our surface-mount design. You can mount the rails directly to your optical breadboard for quick and easy coarse positioning of the carriers. Precision alignment holes guarantee orthogonality when applied to the Triple Divide stages, and the dovetail design ensures that the carriers clamp down with exceptional stability. Each ezTrac rail ships with both 1/4-20 and M6 button-head screws.

Models 9039 , 9036 , 9032 and 9035
There is a wide of vairety of standard and Pint-sized ezTrac Carriers for various applications. Ideal for adding post-mounted elements to your rail system, the post carrier has two through holes for mounting your posts or pedestal. The riser carriers provide a generous assortment of 8-32 (M4) and 1/4-20 (M6) threaded and through holes to your rail system. They are avaialble in 1 in. (25.4 mm) and 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) thicknesses. When orthoginally stacked together, these riser carriers make an inexpensive coarse xy stage. Special threaded holes on the sides allow you to mount them vertically to build versatile 90° adapters.
Baseplates
Use the baseplate to provide conventional mounting slots to adapt to an optical table. A variety of mounting holes allows you to mount the ezTrac rail to the stage in either the X or Y direction, or even at 45˚. The modular plates can be used to provide spacing at 1/4" increments.
