As part of our commitment to continually improve Newport motion products, we are excited to inform you about the upcoming release of the ESP301. The ESP301 has been designed to replace our popular ESP300 controller. The ESP301 will continue to provide you with quality and reliability that has long characterized the popular ESP300 and it will also deliver a set of new features not available in the ESP300.

The ESP301 features a new USB interface, a new and enhanced front panel display and buttons. As in the ESP300, the ESP301 offers the same command set, an RS232 computer interface, a GPIB option and a 150W power supply. The ESP301 has the same ease of use features, such as 2-character commands, PC interface and setup utilities.

Listed below is the current time frame for the launch of the new ESP301 and the phase out of the ESP300:

• July 2008 – ESP301 sales release and orders will be taken


• August 2008 – ESP301 units start shipping


• July 2008 - January 2009 – ESP300 is available, but at decreasingly limited quantities.


• February 2009 – ESP300 will no longer be available for sale. Service and support will be provided for at least 3 years or until parts are no longer available.
