In 2006, Newport opened a Technology and Applications Center at our Irvine, California headquarters, staffed with experienced scientists.  The center was created to develop product configurations and operating techniques to obtain the highest performance from Newport’s lasers, optics and instrumentation products in advanced photonics research applications.  This new capability has allowed Newport to demonstrate the performance advantages provided by a total system comprised of optimally matched Newport products.
