The TOPAS is a kilohertz ultrafast optical parametric amplifier (OPA). It broadens the wavelength coverage of the Spectra-Physics Spitfire® Pro amplifiers and provides gap free tunability from deep UV to mid-IR. Featuring a complete set of wavelength extension options, the TOPAS allows tuning from 189 nm to 20 µm.
The Spitfire Pro with its high output energy (up to 3mJ per pulse at 1 kHz), ultrashort pulse duration (as low as 35 fs) and exceptional output quality and stability is the ideal pump for the TOPAS. These superior output characteristics ensure maximum conversion efficiency for the parametric amplification process, thus producing high energy, near-transform-limited pulses throughout the tuning range. |
Applications |
Ultrafast, time-resolved spectroscopy - Multicolor pump-probe studies
- Transient absorption spectroscopy when used with Newport Helios spectrometer
- Nonlinear optics
