Millennia® eV laser delivers 25W CW 532nm power from integrated industrial package
Santa Clara, CA May 7, 2012 Spectra-Physics®, a Newport Corporation brand, introduces Millennia eV, a new line of high power, continuous-wave (CW) green diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers. Millennia eV delivers 25W of CW DPSS green power, the highest in the industry, along with superior beam quality and extremely low noise. Featuring a single, industrial-grade package that integrates the power supply, laser diodes, and optical cavity, the new lasers are highly reliable and easy to use for demanding applications including ultrafast laser pumping, laser doping of solar cells, and materials processing applications.
With the Millennia eV, Spectra-Physics once again leads the industry in innovative, high performance lasers,
notes Julien Klein, senior product marketing manager for Spectra-Physics.
Featuring market-leading power level and performance, this new laser is ideal for the most challenging industrial and scientific applications.
Millennia eV delivers industry-leading single-mode TEM00 beam quality (M2 < 1.1) and very low optical noise. The new platform is based on Spectra-Physics Its In the Box design, where the laser optical cavity, laser diode, and control electronics are all integrated into a single, compact package. This eliminates the need for an external power supply. With the combination of rugged industrial design, long-life laser diodes, and ultra-stable EternAlign optical-mount technology, Millennia eV is highly reliable, dependable, and easy-to-use.
Spectra-Physics Millennia eV laser will be featured at CLEO, San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, CA, May 8-10, 2012. Please visit Newport's booth #1614 for a demonstration. For more information, please visit: www.newport.com/millenniaev.
