Lowest noise and most compact single-frequency, continuous-wave green laser in the industry
Santa Clara, CA January 23, 2012 Spectra-Physics®, a Newport Corporation brand, launches the Millennia® Edge single-frequency, continuous-wave (CW) green laser. The 532nm laser features the lowest optical noise, with exceptional beam quality and pointing stability, in the most compact package available on the market. Millennia Edge is ideal for pumping Ti:Sapphire and other lasers, including carrier-envelope-phase (CEP) stabilized systems, as well as holography and interferometry applications.
With its industry-leading performance and industrial-grade reliability, the Millennia Edge is suitable for very demanding applications, including CEP-stabilized laser system pumping,
said Julien Klein, senior marketing manager for Spectra-Physics.
The laser complements well our highly popular Millennia Prime family of high power (up to 15W) CW green lasers.
Spectra-Physics also introduces the TOPAS Prime, the next-generation optical parametric amplifier for wavelength extension of the technically advanced Spitfire® Ace and Solstice® ultrafast amplifiers. Both the new Millennia Edge and TOPAS Prime will be featured at SPIE Photonics West, The Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA, January 24-26, 2012.
