Outstanding Optical Performance and Unprecedented Stability |
In order to ensure hands-off, reliable operation, the Solstice uses industry-leading, field proven, robust technologies including the Mai Tai® ultrafast laser and the Empower® pump source. To further enhance system performance, the amplifier module leverages our expertise in industrial lasers, including our Eternalign™ optical mounts. By extending these industrial quality elements throughout the entire unit, Spectra-Physics has created a platform of unprecedented optical performance and stability.
With the same field-proven optical design as the industry-leading Spitfire® Pro XP, the Solstice has an output average power of more than 2.5 W at 1 or 5 kHz and high contrast pulses of less than 100 fs. It also delivers a high quality beam (M2 <1.3) that is essential for the most demanding applications.
The fully automated Mai Tai femtosecond oscillator generates the bandwidth necessary to support the Solstice short pulse output (<100 fs). Its field-proven rugged design provides the reliability required to enable industrial processes while its flexibility satisfies the requirements of scientific users.
The Solstice features an integrated Empower as its pump source. This diode-pumped pulsed green laser provides unsurpassed performance. By combining superior reliability, outstanding stability and low cost of ownership in a compact package, the Empower ensures that the Solstice is an ideal solution for today’s demanding applications. |

With its unique combination of high power, robust performance and unmatched stability, the Solstice one box ultrafast amplifier is an excellent choice for a wide range of applications. It is an ideal pump source for Optical Parametric Amplifiers, including Spectra-Physics OPA-800C and TOPAS products. With its high output power, researchers can easily split the Solstice’s beam into several and enable multi-color pump probe experiments. For industrial customers, the high average power ensures maximum throughput in applications such as micromachining. |
