Product Description
The Spectra-Physics Solano 163M air-cooled ion laser delivers an industrial instrument's power and performance in a compact package half the size of an equivalently performing system. The beam quality and stability, for which ion lasers are known, is offered in single line and multi-line versions as well as polarized and unpolarized options. Output power is available from 25 mW polarized at 488 nm (single-line) to 70 mW for unpolarized multiline (458 nm to 514.5 nm). The plasma tube is based on technology proven in over 30 years of industrial applications requiring many thousands of hours of reliable operation. The "smart" integrated power supply automatically compensates for all line voltage variations between 90 and 265 VAC, conforming to CE-mark regulatory requirements. The footprint and height conform to the dimensions of the laser head alone of most standard air-cooled ion laser systems. The laser can be operated and monitored with external analog control signals, or with the Model 300M-01 Controller (ordered separately), which may be attached onto the laser or placed elsewhere with a serial cable.
