The Series Q Housing, named for its quiet convection cooling, is one of our most popular housings for low wattage lamps. It's price, size, and versatility make it attractive to researchers. Now, we have a new model that allows quick access to the lamp, simplifying lamp interchange. With the hinged cover model 60030, you don't have to lift the entire cover off the lamp housing. The 60030 has three output ports, compared to four for the 60000.
In order to make the Series Q so versatile (it holds 22 different lamps or elements, and has multiple output ports), we made it a modular enclosure. The heart of the enclosure is the model 60000 or 60030 Series Q, which is a shell with an X-Y-Z adjustable lamp base. Z travel is ±0.075 inch (±2.0 mm). To turn it into a functional lamp housing, you simply add the necessary lamp mounting hardware and condensing optics.
