The ST-UT Series SmartTables are field upgradeable to ST Series performance. When the IQ dampers are not installed, the ST-UT table provides performance equivalent to the RPR Series table. As your application requirements become more stringent, the ST-UT table can be field upgraded to SmartTable performance levels by installing an IQ-200-UG upgrade kit. There is no need to dismantle your experiment in order to upgrade the table. Once upgraded, the ST-UT will provide a dramatically quieter table surface, resulting in high quality imaging, improved long term stability, faster settling times and the ability to make measurements that previously required the quietest lab environments. The upgraded ST-UT SmartTable also allows users to monitor tabletop vibrations through built in vibration sensors that provide real time feedback on the vibration state of the table.
The ST-UT Series SmartTables are available in "end-to-end" and "L" shaped doubler configurations and thicknesses of 12" and 18". The ST-UT series doubled table is a broadband damped doubled table that has the capability to be field upgraded with IQD-200-UG SmartTable upgrade kit. The "end-to-end" doubled configuration is available up to 22 feet in length. The "L" shape doubler configuration is available in 4 and 5 foot widths and up to 20 foot lengths (see the specification table below). |

The IQ damping technology the ST-UT and upgraded ST-UT dramatically reduces the settling time in an optical table by a factor of 4X
The vibration spectrum of a ST-UT Series Smart Table and an upgraded ST-UT Series SmartTable is shown. When the IQ damping system is activated the motion on the table is minimized. IiQ damping eliminates the resonances of the table, particularty in the sensitive100-400 Hz range.
