These SMA terminated probes are used to:
Measure diffuse or specular reflectance from a sample
Measure fluorescence from solid samples
Measure backscattering and fluorescence in solutions
The light is carried to the sample via the 6 individual 200 or 400 µm fibers, and the signal is collected and delivered to the spectrometer via the center fiber ( Fig. 1). As off-the-shelf items, we offer standard probes for reflectance or fluorescence measurements from solid samples. Upon request, we can offer 30° angled probes for reflectance of highly translucent solid samples (where 2nd surface reflections are a concern), or for solutions measurements. All models are 2 M in total length; the common end is 1 M long, and the legs are 1 M long.
