RSP Series Rotation Stages provide smooth, continuous angular positioning for general laboratory applications. They are available in two sizes, with an aperture for mounting either 1 or 2 in. (25.4 or 50.8 mm) diameter optics or components. A delrin retaining ring is provided to secure the optic.
The rotating platform has six 8-32 and six M4 threaded holes for added mounting flexibility. Optional inserts create a solid platform for on-axis mounting of a component such as a post holder. The RSP-1T has an internal thread that also enables Newport Glan-laser calcite polarizers and CH Series cube beamsplitter holders to be rotated in this stage.
Rotation can be coarsely aligned using the knurled edge of the rotating platform. Fine adjustment is achieved with the knob. Angular position is indicated on a 360° scale graduated in 2° increments. The adjustment knob can be securely locked by tightening the screw in the end of the knob.
These stages feature full ball bearing races for a high load capacity for their size. Each has two counterbored clearance holes on diagonally opposite corners for direct mounting to tables, breadboards, and other stages. Threaded holes on the edge allow vertical mounting — especially useful for holding transmissive optics such as polarizers.
A 1/2-in diameter polarizer or waveplate can be mounted to the RSP-1T mount using the PRA-05 Adaptor, which screws into the rotator's 1.063-20 thread. The PRA-05 Adaptor included a retaining ring.
