Newport precision linear polarizers are constructed by laminating a polymer polarizing film between two high-precision glass or fused silica windows. Each window has a high-efficiency, broadband antireflection coating. The assembly is mounted in a black anodized aluminum housing for protection, with the transmission axis clearly marked. The result is linear polarizers with high transmission and low wavefront distortion that are easy to mount.
We offer polarizers for ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared wavelength ranges. The standard 12.7, 25.4, and 50.8 mm outer diameters are convenient for mounting into Newport rotary mounts.
The LPNIR series NIR Linear Polarizers do not have the housing and are available in two wavelength ranges, 750-850 nm and 1000-2000 nm. These high contrast polarizers are ideal for a wide range of applicaitons involving low power NIR lasers, LEDS, and other NIR sources.
